MEETING DEDICATED TO “WATER DIPLOMACY”
On January 17, 2024, meeting dedicated to “Water Diplomacy” at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, which was organized by Training Center “Water Diplomacy” for important areas. Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the State Committee on Water Management of Turkmenistan, and the Caspian Sea Institute of Turkmenistan participated in this meeting.
G. Annabaev, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Chief Scientist of the Scientific Research Department of the “Turkmensuwylmytaslama” Institute under the State Committee on Water Management of Turkmenistan, made a speech on the topic "Experience of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the use of water reserves of Central Asia". He emphasized that solution of water economic issues on an integrated basis of benefit all Central Asian countries, which is based main direction of the Turkmen leader's water strategy.
Deputy of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, member of the Committee on Environmental Protection, Nature Utilization and Agro-Industrial Complex B. Myradova spoke on the topic "Climate change: the connection between environmental stability and peace building". In her speech, B. Myradova emphasized that the young generation has a great role in implementing the tasks of protecting nature, ensuring ecological safety, and observing ecological culture.
L.Galiyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Legal, Personnel and Special Affairs Department of the Caspian Sea Institute of Turkmenistan, gave speech topic "Importance of the proposal of the Caspian Ecological Initiative of the President of Turkmenistan." As we know, this initiative was introduced by the President of Turkmenistan Arkadagly Hero Sardar at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting on “Water Diplomacy” for the students was very effective and the students found answers to their questions.
