TRAINING ON WATER DIPLOMACY
On December 7, 2022, a regular training on Water diplomacy of the Educational Center for the Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Turkmenistan, Dmitry Shlapachenko, conducted the training. The lecture was devoted to the ecological problems of the Aral Sea region. During the training, the Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Turkmenistan talked about the work being done to improve the ecological and socio-economic situation in the Aral Sea Basin. In addition, he explored about the importance of the Resolutions of the UN General Assembly on "Cooperation between the United Nations and the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea" adopted in 2018 and 2019. The students of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A.Niyazov and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan participated in the training. At the end of the lecture, there was an exchange of questions.
