The Representatives of The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan participated in the III International Scientific Forum “Caspian 2023: Ways of Sustainable Development”
The III International Scientific Forum “Caspian 2023: Ways of Sustainable Development” was held on May 29-31, 2023, as the part of the Caspian Scientific and Educational Congress. Astrakhan State University named after V.N Tatishchev was the main venue for the forum.
The forum was held for the third time and this year the government of the region took over the organization of the event. The event has become an important international discussion platform for discussing issues of strengthening cooperation between the Caspian Sea, as well as developing cooperation between the Caspian countries in the field of science, technology, education and culture.
The rectors of the leading universities of the Caspian states, representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, academies of sciences of the Caspian countries, regional and federal authorities, public youth organizations and ethno-cultural communities of the Caspian states and CIS counties, business representatives, employers, as well as students of higher and secondary special educational institutions attended to this international forum.
During the three-day event, strategic sessions, discussion panels, an ethnographic Olympiad, a meeting of the Expert Council of the Competence Centre project, a meeting of the Consortium of Higher Educational Institutions of the Caspian Region in the transport and logistics sector were held. The first day of the forum was completely dedicated to youth policy issues.
Teachers and students of The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan also took part in this large-scale scientific forum. Yakubov Ismail, lecturer at the Department of International and Comparative Law, had a speech on the topic “The role of youth in strengthening relations between Russia and the Caspian countries: the current state of youth cooperation and development prospects” in the strategic panel discussion “International Youth Initiatives”, which took place on the first day of the forum.
During the other days of scientific forum, Serdar Rahymov, 4th year student of the faculty of International Relations spoke in the Section “Sociacultural Security of the Caspian Macro-Region” with the topic “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar”, and the 3rd year student of the faculty of International Economic relations Rahmangylych Annageldiyev with the topic “Community of the Turkic peoples and Russia” had a speech at the International Scientific and Practical Conference .
According to ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov, building up scientific, educational, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the countries of the Caspian Sea will increase its sustainability on a global and regional scale.
