INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM “PEACE AND TRUST”
On March 29, 2021, International Youth Forum titled “Peace and Trust’ was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, devoted to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, the 25th of anniversary of our permanent Neutrality, and “Year 2021-Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust”, approved by the Decree of our honorable President in order to implement the Programm of events planned to be held in Turkmenistan and abroad. This forum was organized by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan. The representatives of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, the representatives of higher education institution and as well as through digital video the representatives of United Nations Children's Fund, United Nations Population Fund, UNESCO, foreign youth organizations participated in this forum. During the forum, the participants presented plans to engage young people in the development and strengthening of a culture of peace at the national, regional and global levels, as well as they also got acquainted with the work carried out on the implementation of the Declaration and Programm on World Culture, adopted by the United Nations Assembly on September,13, 1999. The results of this forum will support the work of the Youth Forum of the United Nations Economic and Social Council which will be held in New York on April 7-8, 2021. So, it was noted that in March 2021, the International Youth Forums “Peace and Trust” were held jointly with the United Nations agencies, especially the United Nations Children's Fund and United Nations Population Fund.
