A REGULAR MEETING OF THE “CULTURE OF PEACE” UNESCO CLUB
On May 6, 2026, the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace” of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a regular meeting which was aimed to promote the peace-loving values of UNESCO, ensure the active participation of youth in international humanitarian projects and outline the future tasks of the club. Faculty members of the institute and club members attended the event.
During the meeting, a comprehensive report was presented on the multi-faceted activities and achievements of the club during the first half of 2026. It was noted that during the reporting period, various scientific-practical conferences, round-table discussions, public awareness campaigns, as well as cultural and educational projects were successfully implemented at the national level. These initiatives played a vital role in enabling students’ capacity to promote the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and UNESCO, while deepening their commitment to peace, cultural dialogue and mutual understanding. Furthermore, speakers highlighted that these actions represented a significant milestone in advancing knowledge-sharing and mutual dialogue across the network of UNESCO clubs. Furthermore, the speakers emphasized that these implemented initiatives marked a crucial step toward developing exchange of experience and mutual dialogue among UNESCO clubs.
In conclusion, the meeting concluded with an extensive exchange of views on the upcoming events and projects scheduled for the second half of 2026, successfully determining the key directions required to execute the club’s set goals.
