THE ROLE OF CULTURAL DIPLOMACY FOR THE SAKE OF PEACE
On December 25, 2025, a conference entitled “The Role of Cultural Diplomacy for the Sake of Peace” was held by the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace” of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The active members of the UNESCO Club and students of the Institute attended this event.
During the conference, the participants discussed the significance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening peace and mutual understanding between nations, as well as the UNESCO’s ongoing activities in this direction.
As a specialized agency of the United Nations, the UNESCO plays an important role in strengthening international cooperation, preserving cultural heritage and promoting the ideals of peace worldwide. The speakers emphasized that as 2025 draws to a close, the importance of the UNESCO’s efforts in the fields of peace and cultural diplomacy has become even more significant.
The participants highlighted that cultural diplomacy serves as a fundamental bridge to peace and underscored the necessity of expanding international cooperation in this vital area to ensure global harmony.
