On November 30, 2021, the Central Asia Regional Environmental Center (CAREC) conducted the first real-time video tutorial on the Strategy for promoting an approach based on the interaction of water, energy, food and the environment. The online course was organized in collaboration with the USAID Regional Water and Environment Project and the Central Asia Regional Environmental Center (CAREC). The meeting was attended by experts from the USAID Regional Water and Environment Project and CAREC, teachers of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, including the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, representatives of the State Committee for Water Resources of Turkmenistan. and a number of other experts and teams.
The main goal of the course is to demonstrate the international legal framework of water resources, the peculiarities of the formation of International Water Law and its fundamental principles. During the event, the participants were informed about the accession of states to international conventions adopted in the field of International Water Law. At the end of the course, the topics of the next course of study were discussed based on discussions between the parties.
