AN INTERNATIONAL FORUM HAS BEEN HELD
On October 5, 2021, the 5th North and Central Asia Forum on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia-Pacific Region, began its work online. The forum, which will continue its work until October 7 of this year, is attended by chief representatives of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia-Pacific Region (UNESCAP), the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as students and representatives of mass media. Arslankerim Karimov, a student at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, also had a chance to participate in the forum.
On the first day of the forum, Armida Salsia Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia-Pacific Region (UNESCAP), Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Muhammetgeldi Serdarov, former Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic and other high-level representatives delivered speeches on the current state of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals and the prospectives.
The forum will continue its work tomorrow and after tomorrow.
