CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO LIVER FLUKE DISEASE AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE IN MEDICINE AND AGRICULTURE
On December 3, 2025, the Myrat Garryýew State Medical University of Turkmenistan hosted an online open lesson entitled “The Liver Fluke Disease and its Significance in Medicine and Agriculture.” The event was held via a digital platform and was attended by lecturers and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the conference, participants thoroughly discussed the significance of preventing disease. It was noted that, Liver Fluke disease is a serious parasitic infection that affects both human health and agriculture. It causes liver damage, economic losses, and public health problems, making prevention, early diagnosis, and proper treatment very important.
Speakers highlighted the crucial role of triclabendazole, the most effective medicine against this disease. In this context, they underscored the importance of the neutral policy pursued by our Hero Arkadag and the “Health” State Program developed under his leadership. Participants of the conference also expressed profound gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and our esteemed President for the reforms implemented in the public health sector aimed at improving the well-being of the population and sincerely wished them sound health and a long life.
It was emphasized that organizing such events plays an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness of health culture among young people.
