A NEW ROUND OF WATER DIPLOMACY TRAINING SESSION HAS STARTED
On March 20, 2024, a new round of training session on water diplomacy started at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Training session dedicated to the Water Diplomacy of our country are periodically organized and conducted by the Training Center for Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
A training session on the topic “Initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people put forward at the VII World Water Forum and the UN Conference on Sustainable Development Rio+20” was conducted by Ayjan Omarova, a lecturer at the Department of International Law and Comparative Jurisprudence of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the training session, the discussions were held about initiatives of Turkmenistan, which were promoted from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly and at major international conferences, such as the Rio+20 World Summit, the III World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, held in Sendai, and the VII World Water Forum. The initiative of the Hero-Arkadag, was shown during the VII World Water Forum, the newest vector of diplomatic activity is being promoted at the UN - water diplomacy. Water resources are used meaningfully in domestic and foreign policies of Turkmenistan. During the session, several interesting questions and answers were exchanged between lecturer and students.
