A SEMINAR ON THE DIGITAL SYSTEM WAS HELD
On October 29, 2025, a seminar titled “The Destructive Effects of Alcohol on Human Body Systems” was held at the Myrat Garryev Turkmen State Medical University. The event brought together faculty members and students from various higher education institutions across the country, including representatives from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the seminar, speakers emphasized that in the Epoch of the Revıval of a new era of powerful state all the necessary conditions are beıng created for the young generation to gain a modern education and become highly qualified specialists. Special attention was given to the Presidential Decree of March 26, 2021, which approved the new edition of the State Program “Saglyk” and its 2021–2025 Actıon Plan aimed at improving public health, extending life expectancy and developing an innovative healthcare system.
The seminar was conducted by B. Meredova, Academic Assistant of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology of the University. It featured detailed presentations and discussions about the harmful effects of alcohol on the human body, the global consequences of alcohol consumption, and the dangerous combined effects of alcohol and smoking. Speakers also highlighted that the continuous progress of healthcare system of Turkmenıstan, along with large-scale educational and awareness campaigns promoting healthy lifestyles that plays a vital role in increasing life expectancy, preventing disease, and fostering the development of a healthy, well-educated society founded on strong state principles.
Participants expressed their sincere gratitude for the favorable conditions created under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan to strengthen public health and raise awareness of healthy living among young people. They noted that such seminars help students form a responsible outlook on life, deepen their understanding of the dangers of harmful habits, and encourage them to lead active, disciplined and meaningful lives. The event also enhanced cooperation between medical and non-medical universities, uniting efforts toward nurturing a physically and mentally healthy generation, one of the top priorities of national policy of Turkmenıstan. Inspired by the seminar, students reaffirmed their commitment to contribute to society’s development by promoting healthy lifestyles and setting a positive example through their own behavior.
