THE TURKMEN CARPET – MODEL OF FINENESS
On October 29, 2024, the First Women’s Organization of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan jointly by the “Yashlyk” TV Channel organized an excursion of female students to the National Museum of the Turkmen Carpets.
During the excursion, the students were acquainted with the unique information about the history of the ancient Turkmen carpets, the origin of the national patterns and the distinctive features of the carpet-makers. There are thousands of exhibits of carpets in this museum distinguished by their elegance, weaving characteristics, history of creation. A wonderful woven carpet, which dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, was among them.
The great importance of such excursions is in preserving the national values of the Turkmen women, which have existed for thousands of years, in developing the love of our nationality and in passing it on to our future generations.
