MY MENTOR TEACHER
On October 7, 2025, in celebration of the International Year of Peace and Trust and World Teachers’ Day (October 5), a special event entitled “My Mentor Teacher” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The meeting was jointly organized by the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace” and the “Young Journalists” Scientific-Creative Association of the Institute. Active members of both the UNESCO club and the Young Journalists association took part in the event.
During the meeting, speakers emphasized the historical importance of UNESCO’s Declaration in 1994 to proclaim World Teachers’ Day on October 5, and highlighted the vital role teachers play in the education system, schools, public life and the personal development of every individual.
To honor teachers on this special day and encourage their continued dedication, students prepared creative presentations, poems, songs and musical performances, expressing heartfelt congratulations and gratitude for their guidance and inspiration.
