A REGULAR MEDIA TRAINING SESSION
On January 21, 2026, a training session was conducted through the digital platform at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with young promoters from a special group of correspondents (media) representing higher educational institutions of the country. The training was organized to ensure effective media coverage during the first meeting of the Round of 1/8 of the “AFC Champions League-2” between Turkmenistan’s “Arkadag” football club and Saudi Arabia’s “Al-Nassr” football club, which takes place on February 11, 2026 in Ashgabat.
The online session was attended by members of the media group consisting of talented journalism students and instructors from the Institutes of our country. The training was held in order to widely cover mass sports and cultural events planned for the year “Independent, Permanent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”.
The training session was conducted by Gozel Pirmuhamedova, an instructor of the International University for Humanities and Development on the topic “Sport – Messenger of Peace”. In her speech, the instructor emphasized the importance of sports diplomacy, highlighting the achievements in Turkmenistan’s sports sector. She particularly noted the role of sports in fostering friendship among peoples, promoting peace and unity between states and nations.
At the conclusion of the digital training session, participants expressed their gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and the Esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for all the opportunities created for the youth to shape a healthy, well rounded, educated generation.
