A Meeting with Young Media Communicators Was Held
On January 19, 2026, a meeting was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the aim of ensuring media coverage of the mass sports and cultural events to be organized in the year declared as “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.” The meeting focused on the establishment of a correspondent media group composed of talented students studying journalism at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the International University for the Humanities and Development, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, and the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, as well as experienced lecturers who have actively participated in international events.
The group includes 8 lecturers and 49 students. During the meeting, reports were delivered on the organizational work being carried out with the newly formed correspondent media group. The organization of special training sessions for group members on the systematic coverage of events planned within the State Program to be implemented throughout 2026 was emphasized at the meeting.
During the meeting, confidence was expressed that the volunteers would make a significant contribution not only to the successful organization of events at a high level but also to the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation and the development of friendly and fraternal relations. This, in turn, will encourage the formation of young people as an important part of international diplomacy and peacebuilding efforts and will become yet another clear testimony to the effective implementation of the youth policy of our country.
