Great Victory of Cultural Diplomacy
On February 10, 2022, a solemn event was held at the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan in connection with the inclusion of the craft of making dutar, performing musical art on it and the art of bakhshi in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The meeting was organized together with the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. It was attended by representatives of these institutions, the faculty and students of the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan,
During the meeting, the chief specialist in digital technologies of the Magtumguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, Merdan Nuriyev, a student of the Faculty of International Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a volunteer of the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Jemal Rematullayeva, a lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences of the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, Perhat Chariyev, and a second-year student of the Faculty of Innovation Economics of the same University, Ayjan Tekayeva, made speeches.
The fact that the Turkmen dutar has gained international recognition and become an integral part of the universal heritage testifies to the great victory of the cultural diplomacy carried out by our esteemed President. The speakers focused on our national heritage and activities conducted to further enhance the international prestige of the country, the important task facing the Turkmen people to enrich and spread the unique and spiritual values of the Turkmen people.
At the end of the event, the participants expressed their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag for his efforts aimed to preserve the national heritage of the Turkmen people and promote them worldwide.
