An Invaluable Contribution to Medical Science
On October 18, 2024, a presentation ceremony for the new 16th volume of the multi-volume scientific-encyclopedic work "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The new edition is a wonderful gift for our people, who consider health as the highest value, and an invaluable treasure for future generations.
Speakers at the presentation emphasized that significant work is being implemented in the healthcare sector, guided by the great saying, "The health of the people is the wealth of the country," and that medical diplomacy is being further developed. In this context, the grand works being realized in our society in accordance with the "Health" State Program fill the hearts of every one of us with pride. This publication provides an opportunity to promote the medicinal plants of our country worldwide. Moreover, it is a tremendous contribution not only to the medical science of our country but also to the development of global pharmacology, phytotherapy, and medical diplomacy.
During the festive days, the ceremonial opening of a new building named "Kalbyn Shypasy" ("Heart’s Cure") located along the avenue named after the world-renowned German cardiologist Dr. Hans Meissner, with the participation of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was highlighted as a significant historical event.
As noted, Hero Arkadag, an Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor, stands at the forefront of creating a unique national healthcare system that combines the centuries-old traditions of our wise ancestors with modern developments in global medicine. He places the health of our people above everything and pays great attention to protecting it, sparing no effort, knowledge, or labor in this endeavor. His various works, including "The Scientific Foundations of Healthcare Development in Turkmenistan," "Turkmenistan – the Land of Health and Spirit," "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan," and "Happiness Begins with Health," gifted to our people over the years, are vivid signs of the deep love our National Leader holds for our Motherland and dear people.
The participants of the presentation ceremony expressed their gratitude to Hero Arkadag, who always pays special attention to the health of the people and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and to our Esteemed President.
