    IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF PLANTING TREES

In these modern times, it is a known fact that majority of the people and concerned about the environment, and the adverse impact it can have on our health. Trees are precious gift of nature to earth as they have many beneficial qualities.
By increasing the population, people need to have houses. building houses make life more comfortable, and convenient and can lead to decrease crime rates.
On the other hand, urban areas that are polluted air need to decline the pollution rate. Maybe they need to arrange a balanced way because both of them are significant.
Trees are precious gifts of nature to the earth as they have many beneficial qualities. First of all, planting trees lowers the temperature and combat global warming. In our modern world, industrialization cause air pollution, people use fuel for their vehicles which release carbon dioxide into the air. These poisonous gas effects can be reduced by oxygen. So trees play an important role in providing us fresh and pure environment.
Secondly, another good reason for plantations is, they provide edibles. Forests provide us fruits, vegetables and wood for many purposes like furniture.
Planting trees is a crucial activity for the environment, and several important aspects should be considered:
    1. Selection of Tree Species: Choose native or adaptive species suitable for the climate, soil type, and available space. Consider factors like growth rate, size, and purpose (shade, fruit-bearing, ornamental, etc.).
    2. Location and Spacing: Plant trees where they have enough space to grow to their full size without interfering with structures, power lines, or other plants. Follow recommended spacing guidelines for optimal growth.
    3. Soil Preparation: Ensure the soil is well-draining, nutrient-rich, and free from contaminants. Amend the soil if necessary to improve its quality and provide a good foundation for tree roots.
    4. Planting Technique: Dig a hole that is wide and shallow, slightly larger than the tree’s root ball. Handle roots carefully, spread them out, and avoid planting too deep. Backfill the hole with soil and water thoroughly.
    5. Watering: Newly planted trees need regular watering to establish roots. Provide enough water to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Adjust watering frequency based on weather conditions and soil moisture levels.
    6. Mulching: Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the tree to retain soil moisture, regulate temperature, suppress weeds, and improve soil health. Keep the mulch a few inches away from the trunk to prevent rotting.
    7. Pruning: Prune trees as needed to remove dead, damaged, or diseased branches. Pruning can also shape the tree and promote healthy growth. Follow proper pruning techniques to avoid causing harm to the tree.
    8. Fertilization: Assess the tree’s nutrient needs and apply fertilizers appropriately if the soil lacks essential nutrients. Avoid over-fertilizing, as it can lead to nutrient imbalances and environmental issues.
    9. Pest and Disease Management: Monitor trees regularly for signs of pests, diseases, or other issues. Take preventive measures such as using pest-resistant species, maintaining tree health, and applying treatments when necessary.
    10. Maintenance and Care: Provide ongoing care, including regular watering, mulching, pruning, and monitoring for any problems. Keep an eye on the tree’s growth and health over time, making adjustments as needed.
By paying attention to these important aspects of planting and caring for trees, you can contribute to the environment, enhance the landscape, and create healthier ecosystems.
