The UN Climate Change Conference COP 27
On October 25, 2022, UN Climate Change conference (UNFCCC COP 27) has been held at the International University of Humanitarian and Development. Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Atayev, Geat Britain's Regional ambassador of Climate Change for Turkey, Iran, Europe and Asia David Moran, Advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Magtymguly Akmyradov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Great Britain Lucy Wild, UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, as well as the teachers and students from other higher education institutions attended the conference. And young ambassadors of SDG made speeches about statistics of climate change of the world.
At the conference the participants spoke about the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the National Strategy for Climate Change, the National Strategy of Turkmenistan for the Development of Renewable Energy by 2030, the adoption of the new Law of Turkmenistan on Renewable Energy and other activities carried out in this field at the standard level.
At the end of the conference, the suggestions made by the students were summed up. The rector of the International University of Humanitarian and development Esen Aydogdeyev underlined the importance of the valuable proposals made by the students and expressed great confidence in the youth students who contribute to the development of the youth policy.
