THE 3rd TRAINING COURSE FOR CENTRAL ASIAN DIPLOMATS HAS BEGUN IN THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA
On October 14, 2024, the 3rd special course for diplomats from Central Asian countries began at the Sushma Swaraj Institute for Foreign Service (SSIFS), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.The special course will continue until October 25. Instructors of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Nepesov Meilis and Gylshaev Meilis also participate in these training sessions. In 2015, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Diplomatic Service of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
Famous professors, politicians and diplomats will speak at training sessions held in India for diplomats from Central Asian countries. The Sushma Swaraj Institute of Diplomatic Service of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, will conduct courses on various aspects of India's foreign policy and the high-level relationships that the country has established with countries in Central Asia. In addition, a variety of cultural activities are planned for the participants in the training sessions.
Since its independence, Turkmenistan has been engaged in friendly and equal cooperation with other nations around the world in various fields, including international relations. The relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of India, which have their roots in ancient times, have been enriched with a new and significant meaning. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were officially established on April 20, 1992.
Turkmenistan and India have a strong bilateral relationship based on principles of friendship and cooperation. The advantageous location of Turkmenistan from a geopolitical and geoeconomic point of view contributes to the continuation of ancient traditions of active interstate relations and the development of trade and economic ties between the Turkmen and Indian peoples, as well as humanitarian cooperation.
