MEETING WITH AN ACCOMPLISHED JOURNALIST
On May 5, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted an academic and creative meeting featuring Bekdurdy Amansaryev, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Senior Researcher at the Institute’s Scientific Center for Strategic Studies. The event was attended by the Rector of the Institute, Gulshat Yusupova, alongside members of the faculty and the student youth.
The primary objective of the meeting was to analyze contemporary solutions regarding the environmental challenges of the Aral Sea and the sustainable management of water resources. These themes were central to the recent film festival conducted within the framework of the Regional Ecological Summit and the “RES 2026 EXPO” in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the event, the distinguished journalist presented an analytical overview of the “Astana Eco Film Festival”. He noted with particular emphasis that the documentary film “Children of the Sun and Water” was honored with the Audience Choice Award for “Best Film.” After screening selected excerpts from the documentary, students engaged in an interactive discussion, receiving substantive, erudite responses and academic guidance regarding their research queries.
In conclusion, formal appreciation was extended to Bekdurdy Amansaryev for his insightful presentation and scholarly counsel. This impactful meeting serves as a significant catalyst for student youth, fostering the advancement and diversification of their academic perspectives concerning environmental discourse within the international media paradigm.
