MASTER CLASS CONDUCTED BY AN EXPERIENCED DIPLOMAT
On December 17, 2025, the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organized a master class led by a veteran diplomat.
The session was dedicated to the significance of the Resolution titled “The role and importance of the policy of neutrality in ensuring and strengthening the process of international peace, security, and sustainable development” which was presented at the 80th plenary meeting of the UN General Assembly. The master class was conducted by Amangeldi Rahmanov, a Professor at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, and recipient of the “Master Diplomat of Turkmenistan” distinction.
During the master class, Professor Rahmanov provided a detailed explanation of Turkmenistan’s choice of the policy of Neutrality and its philosophical significance. He emphasized that the policy of Neutrality attaches great importance to the peaceful resolution of international issues. As an example, Professor A.Rahmanov noted that the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), located in Ashgabat, plays a vital role in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
Furthermore, Professor A.Rahmanov underlined that Turkmenistan’s policy of Neutrality is internationally recognized and holds great importance in establishing and developing friendly and mutually beneficial relations with countries around the world. Professor stated that this policy makes a significant contribution to maintain peace, stability, and development in the region and around the world.
The regular holding of such master classes at the national school of Turkmen diplomacy contributes greatly to broadening the political understanding of students and enhancing their professional skills in this field.
