International Competition "International Relations: A Culture of Peaceful Dialogue"
Regulation
on holding the international Competition "International Relations: A Culture of Peaceful Dialogue" jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan among students of higher educational institutions of the countries of Central Asia, Turkiye, People's Republic of China and the Caspian states.
This Regulation is a regulatory document for the organization and conduction of the International Competition "International Relations: A Culture of Peaceful Dialogue" to be held among students of higher educational institutions of Central Asia, Turkiye, People's Republic of China and the Caspian states jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and defines the rules of conducting this competition.
The main goal of the Competition is to assess the intellectual skills of students through competition on international relations, strengthening friendly connections between students of the relevant regions, promoting the exchange of educational experience, mutually beneficial exchange of scientific knowledge, training young specialists capable of solving modern scientific and practical problems, establishing and strengthening mutually beneficial connections between higher educational institutions of our country and foreign countries, as well as popularizing the cultural and educational diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan.
Venue of the Competition: Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
3 (three) students from each of the Central Asia, Turkiye, People's Republic of China and the Caspian states can participate in the Competition under the guidance of one instructor. 1-12 students from each higher educational institution of Turkmenistan can participate in the Competition under the guidance of an instructor.
An Organizational Committee is established for the highly organized implementation of this Competition. The composition of the organizational committee is approved by the order of the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in agreement with the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan.
Organising Committee:
- determines the basic principles of holding this competition,
- carries out organizational work on conducting the competition,
- prepares proposals to determine the order and timing of the competition,
- carries out work on preparing the objectives of the competition with representatives of domestic and foreign higher educational institutions,
- organizes hotel accommodations, meals and transportation for participants from abroad,
- organizes cultural, entertainment and educational events for foreign guests.
- performs work related to awarding winners, providing finalists with medals, diplomas, certificates of honor and gifts.
The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan covers the cost of living for foreign students and the team leader during the competition in case they live in the dormitory of the institute, as well as and transportation and providing meals at the institute’s canteen. The organizer will help to facilitate visa costs for foreign participants. The participating side is responsible for travel fees and other expenses related to the arrival and departure to and from Ashgabat.
The competition will be held in the form of individual and team competitions. In each team, the number of students can range from one to six.
The jury of the competition will include the leaders of the participating teams, representatives of scientific and educational institutions of Turkmenistan, and foreign countries. The composition of the jury and its Chairman are approved by the order of the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The jury determines the winners of the Competition and deals with the problems and complaints that arise.
The winners of the individual and team stages of the competition will be awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals, and corresponding diplomas of 1, 2 and 3 degrees, certificates of honor and gifts. The number of winners should not exceed 50% of the number of participants, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd places should be in the ratio of 10%:15%:25%.
Leaders of teams participating in the competition can propose their assignments and tasks along with their solutions to the Organizing Committee no later than 14 days before the competition.
The preliminary composition of the problems to be considered and proposed to be solved at the competition is as follows:
* modern methods of peaceful dialogue in international relations;
* increased influence of the policy of neutrality in peacemaking;
* effective methods of cultural diplomacy and its increasing impact on the development of international cooperation;
* new directions of mathematical methods in modeling sustainable development;
* modeling international negotiations;
* the use of information technologies in the study of international economic relations;
* the study global trends in international transport logistics;
* use of mathematical modeling in making optimal decisions in international relations;
* suggesting new and urgent areas of regional cooperation.
The competition is scheduled to be held on May 22-25, 2024.
The official languages of the competition are: Turkmen, Russian and English.
