Winners of the III International Competition “International Relations: A Culture of Peaceful Dialogue” were awarded
On May 13, 2026, a ceremony honoring the winners of the III International Competition “International Relations: A Culture of Peaceful Dialogue” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the event, the results of the International Scientific-Practical Conference: “Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan: Cooperation for Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development,” in a hybrid format were also summarized.
Participants of the International competition and forum visited an exhibition in the Institute’s hall, featuring valuable examples of national applied decorative arts and creative works reflecting the themes of prosperity and peace.
Following this, the results of the International Scientific-Practical Conference were presented. Reports were delivered by the Chairs of the conference sections, which were titled: “International Law and the Neutrality of Turkmenistan,” “Economic Diplomacy as an Effective Instrument of Cooperation for Sustainable Development Goals,” “Cultural Diplomacy: National and Universal Principles of Humanitarian Relations,” and “Global Experience in Training Specialists in International Relations: Scientific, Educational, and Methodological Work.”
The large-scale forum became another clear demonstration of the successful implementation of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan. Under the leadership of the Esteemed President during the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, this policy is based on the principles of permanent Neutrality, peace, good-neighborliness, mutual respect, and equal cooperation.
The Awards Presentation and Closing Ceremony of the International competition created a special festive atmosphere. Nearly 160 of the most talented students participated in the intellectual competition. They were selected from 13 prestigious higher educational institutions across nine countries including the Russian Federation, People’s Republic of China, the United Kingdom, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Georgia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic as well as 24 higher educational Institutions in Turkmenistan. Contestants demonstrated their knowledge by answering specialized test questions.
According to the jury’s results, participants won 18 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 45 bronze medals. Diplomas, medals, and valuable prizes were ceremoniously presented to the winning students and master’s degree participants by the organizers.
Later, the Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Gulshat Yusupova, delivered a congratulatory speech. She emphasized the high importance of this International competition in strengthening friendship and brotherhood, as well as expanding scientific and educational cooperation, and sincerely congratulated the winners.
Participants of the International scientific-practical conference and the III International Competition adopted an Address to the Esteemed President. The winners also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and to the Esteemed President for creating such opportunities and paying great attention to the development of international youth cooperation.
The pride and joy of the winners were accompanied by musical performances presented by the artistic groups of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Songs performed in different languages reflected the principles of friendship, goodwill, and peace among nations.
Holding this International competition in Turkmenistan for the third time is of great importance for analyzing strategic issues in International relations, deepening students’ diplomatic knowledge, and revealing their research potential. It also serves to widely promote the principles of global peace, establish close cooperation with foreign specialists in the field, and further develop international youth collaboration.
