BRIEF INFORMATION ON THE TESTS, BRAIN-RINGS AND TASKS TO BE GIVEN TO THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION TITLED "INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: A CULTURE OF PEACEFUL DIALOGUE"
Tests and tasks to be presented to the participants of the international competition "International Relations: A Culture of Peaceful Dialogue", jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan among students and graduates of higher educational institutions of Central Asia, Caspian states, the Republic of Turkiye and the People's Republic of China between May 22-25, 2024 in Ashgabat.
1. On May 23, 2024, from 11:00 to 12:00, testing will be conducted as part of the individual stage of the International Competition.
The test will include 30 questions, the total number of points awarded will be 50.
The test questions will include regional and international relations, their political-diplomatic, trade-economic, historical-cultural and other relevant areas.
Specifically, the test questions will reflect the following areas and issues:
- The meaning and content of important initiatives of Independent and Neutral Turkmenistan;
- Participation of youth from neighboring and regional countries in the implementation of the Resolution "2025 – Year of International Peace and Trust," adopted at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly on the initiative of Turkmenistan;
- Current issues on the international agenda to effectively establish dialogue and cooperation for regional peace;
- Modern directions and methods of peaceful dialogue in international relations;
- Effective areas of cultural diplomacy and its impact on the development of international cooperation;
- New and current areas of regional cooperation.
2. Competing tasks and assignments at the personal stage of the International Competition on May 23, 2024 from 14:00 to 18:00.
Tasks and assignments include the areas such as the use of mathematical methods in international relations, mathematical modeling, econometrics, logistics, etc. The content of the tasks includes new directions of mathematical methods in modeling sustainable development, modeling international negotiations, the use of information technology in the study of international economic relations, the study of global trends in international transport and logistics, the use of mathematics and mathematical modeling in drawing up optimal decisions in international relations, etc.
Participants will complete a written assignment consisting of 5 tasks. The total number of points awarded in this round will be 50 points.
The results of the individual stage of the competition will be determined in the rounds mentioned above.
3. Completing tasks and assignments in the group stage of the International Competition on May 24, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00.
During this round, the participants will complete 5-10 tasks in different directions such as the use of mathematical methods in international relations, mathematical modeling, econometrics, logistics, etc. in a group competition.
4. A joint "Brainstorm" for the participants of the International Competition On May 24, 2024, from 11:00 to 13:00. (brainstorm, мозговой штурм, beyin fırtınası, ایده پردازی, 头脑风暴 - Tóunǎo fēngbào).
The event will be in a brainstorming format, with 1 hour and 30 minutes of discussion, with an additional 30 minutes to prepare, agree and finalize the final proposal.
The main purpose of this round is to present optimal methods of dialogue and cooperation between international subjects and their types as a result of the analysis of the urgent problems of the international and regional situations.
Winners are not determined in this round (it is considered a joint victory). Active participants of the discussion, groups or participants whose ideas and suggestions are widely reflected in the content of the Final Proposal will be highlighted.
