A Training Course Dedicated to the Coverage of Gender Issues
On July 16–17, 2025, a two-day intensive training course on the coverage of gender issues in the media was held at the Ashgabat Centre of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The course, organized by the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, brought together representatives of various governmental and public organizations, mass media, and higher educational institutions, including a lecturer from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan continues to successfully implement mutually beneficial cooperation with the OSCE in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in the development of science and education. As part of this collaboration, seminars, meetings, and competitions are regularly organized across various fields, especially for media professionals. The objective of this intensive training course was to enhance journalists’ understanding of gender issues and to strengthen the creative skills of media specialists.
Throughout the course, experts provided valuable insights into the effective coverage of gender topics in the media, the preparation of journalistic content, and the use of digital platforms. The sessions were conducted in an interactive question-and-answer format, encouraging active participation and discussion.
