With the advent of May, the celebrations in honor of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and those who bravely fought in the battlefields, as well as those who worked in the rear are widely spread in all parts of the country. On May 7, 2022, teaching staff and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan went on a study tour to the “Halk Hakydasy” Memorial Complex (People's Memory) on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. During the tour, teaching staff and students of the Institute visited the Patriotic War memorials to the defenders who bravely fought on the battlefields during the 1941-1945 war such as "Eternal Glory" and "Sons of the Nation". In the course of the tour, Tachnabat Paytikova, a senior lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences of the Institute told about thousands of brave sons of the Turkmen people, who fought bravely shoulder to shoulder with representatives of the fraternal peoples on the battlefields and became a great example of true heroism, stability, glory and honor. Organized by the Department of Social Sciences of the Institute on the occasion of the Great Victory Day, this tour demonstrated a clear example of patriotism and bravery of our ancestors for the future generations. The sufferings and loss of our people for a free life, the bravery and heroism they demonstrated will never be forgotten. We are sincerely proud of the great deeds of our brave compatriots in the War and their hard work in the rear.
