A LECTURE DEDICATED TO THE INTERNATIONAL LEGAL SIGNIFICANCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
On November 13, 2025, a training course on “The Importance of International Law in the Introduction of Artificial Intelligence” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The course was led by Gulsenem Hommadova, a lecturer at the Department of International Law and Comparative Law, and was attended by students of the Institute.
During the training course, the participants discussed in detail the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the modern world, its legal regulation and the importance of international legal norms. It was also noted that the widespread introduction of AI into society affects many areas, from economics to scientific research and technology.
The need for international cooperation in regulating artificial intelligence was also emphasized. Examples from international experience were shared, and specific views were expressed on legal issues arising in connection with AI.
At the end of the training session, a general conclusion was reached on the importance of developing international relations in ensuring the development of the legal framework for artificial intelligence technologies. It was noted that such events are an important step in expanding the knowledge of young specialists in Turkmenistan in the field of law and technology. This event represents one of the next important initiatives that demonstrate commitment of Turkmenistan to the development of artificial intelligence and its implementation in accordance with international legal norms.
