A LECTURE HELD ABOUT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
On November 28, 2024, a lecture on the importance of international law in the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, which was organized by the Council of Young Scientists. The students of the institute attended in lecture.
During the lecture, the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in the modern world, their legal regulation and the importance of international legal norms were discussed in detail. The speakers highlighted that the widespread adoption of AI has an impact on many sectors, ranging from the economy to scientific research and technological systems. It was also emphasized that international cooperation is essential in regulating AI. Examples from international practices were presented during the lecture and specific viewpoints on the legal issues arising from AI were discussed. The presentations sparked interest among the participants, who asked numerous questions and the responses were provided.
At the end of the lecture, concluded that the development of international relations and cooperation is crucial in advancing the legal foundations of AI technologies. As well as it was noted that such events are an important step in expanding the legal and technological knowledge of young professionals in Turkmenistan.
This event marked another significant initiative demonstrating Turkmenistan’s commitment to develop Artificial Intelligence and ensure its integration in line with international legal standards.
