THE VALUE AND IMPORTANCE OF HANDICRAFTS IN PRESERVING A NATION'S HERITAGE
On October 18, 2024, a joint meeting was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, organized by the first Women's Organization of the Institute, the first Women's Organization of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, and «Yashlyk» TV Channel. It was attended by the students of the mentioned higher educational institutions and representatives of mass media.
During the meeting, teachers and young students were engaged in handicrafts, which are the cultural values of Turkmen, in accordance with the ancient principles of our people. Turkmen handicrafts are more than just beautiful objects; they are a reflection of the Turkmen people's values, culture, and identity. These intricate creations embody a deep appreciation for nature, a commitment to craftsmanship, and a desire to preserve cultural heritage. By supporting and celebrating these traditions, we can help to ensure that the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan continues to thrive.
Participants also talked about the state policy implemented in the country and the wide-scale international cooperation with UNESCO, a specialized agency of the United Nations.
