A Training Session on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2 and 8) was conducted.
On October 25, 2024, the Scientific and Methodological Center for
Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute of International Relations, in
cooperation with the Permanent Mission of the United Nations Development
Program (UNDP) in Turkmenistan, held a training session on Sustainable
Development Goals.
During the training session, the participants engaged in discussions about the
national and international initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable
Development Goals. UNDP experts highlighted the collaborative work towards
achieving SDG 2, which focuses on eradicating hunger, and SDG 8, which aims at
promoting decent work and economic development to improve the well-being of
the society. They also introduced the National Platform for Monitoring and
Reporting on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in
Turkmenistan. Moreover, they discussed North Macedonia's achievements in
working towards the Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the positive
impact of their successful practices on the SDGs implementation. At the end of the
session, participants and experts also exchanged several questions and answers.
