MEETING DEDICATED TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
On April 17, 2023, a training session has been held at the Scientific and Methodological Center for
Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Turkmenistan with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social
Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, as well as the Institute of the Caspian Sea. During the
training, representatives of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan delivered
speeches on the topics “Water and sanitation for all”, “Sustainable energy economy and ecosystem
protection”, “Sustainable development and employment”, “Global and regional industrialization,
innovation and infrastructure”, “Sustainable cities and towns”, “International cooperation for
sustainable development”.
In addition, at the training on the digital system, Iva Brkich, Specialist of Sustainable Energy
Division, UNECE in Geneva, Farrukh Alimjanov, Specialist of the Digital Transformation Strategy and
Artificial Intelligence Division, UN Industrial Development Organization in Vienna, and Katja Schaefer,
Interregional Adviser for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the UN Human Settlements Program Office
in Nairobi.
