Protocol training course
On April 11, 2023, a training course on the topic “Diplomatic and Etiquette” was held at the “Yyldyz” hotel with the participation of the students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The training course was conducted by Hajymuhammet Seyidov,
director of the “Yyldyz” hotel. During the training course, Hajymuhammet Seyidov spoke in detail about the importance of diplomatic and restaurant etiquette, as well as the rules of conduct at diplomatic and restaurants receptions. The students learned about the peculiarities of the manners at the table, the way of arranging glasses and the gastronomic culture of combining dishes and drinks during a diplomatic reception, as well as the algorithm of behavior in restaurants in difficult situations. It should be noted, that etiquette helps us to know how to treat others respectfully and appropriately in any context.
On listening to his speech about diplomatic and restraint etiquette, it should be underlined that today, cultural communication is so frequent that table manners become more and more important. Not only the whole dining process more harmonious, but also status of customers more obvious and their communication more convenient by the table manners. For the diplomats, it is quite useful to know the differences of different countries’ culture. We can not only increase the understanding of the table manners’ culture, but also improve the success of intercultural communication, which can help to avoid misunderstandings and communication disorder because of inappropriate behavior.
At the end of the training course, H.Seyidov exchanged various questions with the students on the discussed topics. As it is known that the “Yyldyz “ hotel, commissioned in 2013, is the venue for the protocol events of the foreign diplomatic corps operating on the territory of Turkmenistan.
