Introductory Practice of Students at the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs
On November 12, 2024, an introductory practice was organized for the students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan at the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, with the aim of consolidating their theoretical knowledge through practical experience as part of their production internship.
Currently, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan is the country's bank in the international investment market and acts as the managing body of the Islamic Development Bank, playing a significant role in financing strategic investment projects. It is worth noting that on December 1, 2023, the authoritative British publication 'Financial Times' and 'The Banker' magazines named the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan the 'Best Bank in Turkmenistan' for the 15th time.
Furthermore, on October 25, 2024, within the framework of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington, USA, an agreement in value of 156.3 million USD was signed between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Development Bank for the construction of three modern medical centers specializing in the treatment of oncological diseases. These high-quality hospitals will be built in the cities of Balkanabat, Turkmenabat, and Mary, providing over 11,750 patients with high-quality medical services in the future and significantly contributing to the improvement of the public healthcare system.
This introductory practice will create great opportunities for students to enhance their theoretical knowledge in practice, as well as to gain the necessary experience for working in the banking sector.
