BRIEFING ON THE OCCASION OF THE WORLD HEALTH DAY
On April 6, 2022, a briefing was held at the Ministry of Health Care and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan on the progress made in the successful implementation of the State Program “Saglyk”. Representatives of the UN agencies in Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Health Care and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the National Red Crescent Society, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the M. Garriyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan and the National media attended to the briefing. WHO Repsentative in Turkmenistan Dr. Egor Zaitsev, Head of Office of UNFPA Ms. Ayna Seyitliyeva, Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Turkmenistan Mr. Alexandru Nartea, representatives of Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Maral Gujikova and Ogulmyahri Geldiyeva, a lecturer at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan Lily Ovezberdiyeva made speeches about Turkmenistan’s cooperation with these organizations, the progress made in the field of health care in the country, the tasks ahead, the impact of ecological well-being on health, the concept of “Unified Health”, the Charity Fund named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the support of children in need.
The briefing which was continued through the subdivisions at the International Training Center of the Ministry of Health Care and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Scientific and Clinical Center for Mother and Child and the Public Health and Food Center highlighted the importance of protecting nature within the framework of the Health Concept, that in turn has a direct impact on human health.
