REGULATIONS
on holding an international competition of scientific works “Prospects for transport and transit corridors in the strategy of revival of the Great Silk Road” among students, young scientists of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkey, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China
These Regulations on the organization and holding of the international competition of scientific works “Prospects for transport and transit corridors in the strategy for the revival of the Great Silk Road” among students of higher educational institutions with the aim of enhancing international cooperation of youth, achieving high results in improving the scientific, educational and professional skills of students and young scientists as part of the implementation of the Plans for the implementation of the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the development of transport diplomacy for 2022-2025”, as well as “The concepts of the foreign policy course of Neutral Turkmenistan for 2022-2028, which include the key directions of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan for the development of international transport and communication cooperation.
The states of Central Asia and the Caspian region are currently putting forward initiatives to implement scale models and project calculations depending on a multidisciplinary international transport-transit and logistics assessment. These projects, significantly reducing the distance and time of transcontinental and transnational cargo flows, including regional transit cargo, indicate the need to consolidate joint efforts to create favorable conditions for increasing the volume of cargo transportation from Central Asia to China and Europe. In particular, the political and diplomatic activities carried out within the framework of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia, as well as cooperation in the “Central Asia + 1” format are of great importance. Establishing contacts between the youth of the respective countries will be a significant support for the promotion of friendly relations aimed at the long term.
Key points
1. The organizers of the international competition (hereinafter referred to as the international competition) of scientific works "Prospects for transport and transit corridors in the strategy of reviving the Great Silk Road" are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
2. In order to hold an international competition at a high organizational level, an Organizing Committee is being created. The organizing committee will include representatives of relevant institutions, international organizations, scientists and experts.
3. Independently completed research works of the following young people under the age of 35 at the time of submission of documents are accepted for the competition of scientific works:
– students of institutions of higher professional education in bachelor's, master's and specialist's programs;
– young researchers, graduate students and applicants conducting research activities in their respective fields.
4. Evaluation and summing up the results of the works submitted for the competition will be carried out by the Jury Team, consisting of scientists from foreign countries and Turkmenistan. The composition of the jury is approved by the Organizers.
5. The announcement of the results of the first round of the competition of scientific works is planned for September 1, 2023.
Chapter II. The procedure for the submission and registration of scientific works
1. Research papers on the following topics are accepted for the international competition:
1). Studying the prospects of Eastern Europe along the route Central Asia - the Caspian Sea - the Black Sea region;
2). Studying the prospects for the formation of new transport and communication routes along the route Central Asia - the Middle East;
3). Application of transport and transit opportunities in the direction of Central Asia - the Gulf Region;
4). Strategy of Turkmenistan "Revival of the Great Silk Road";
5). China's Belt and Road Initiative;
6). Opportunities for the Asia-Pacific region to enter European markets through Central Asia;
7). Opportunities of the countries of Central Asia for the international transport corridor "North - South";
8). Prospects for the development of the international transport corridor "Lyapis Lazur";
9). Positive initiatives and experience of the countries of Eurasia in the revival of the Great Silk Road;
10). Prospects for the digitalization of the "TIR-EPD" system of the automated customs information system "ASYCUDA World" in the Central Asian region;
2. Works submitted to the international competition are accepted from April 1 to July 1, 2023.
3. Authors of papers submitted to the Organizing Committee within the specified period and in accordance with the established procedure have the right to participate in the international competition.
Chapter III. Requirements and conditions for the participants of the international competition and their works
1. Participants are registered in accordance with Appendix 1 to these Regulations.
2. The text of research papers is drawn up in accordance with Appendix 2 to these Regulations and sent to the Organizers' email address hgi.hygdek@gmail.com
3. Along with their scientific work, participants must submit to the Organizers for consideration:
1) samples of information about the results of scientific activity (scientific articles, patents, diplomas, etc.);
2) at least 2 (two) positive reviews of scientists for research work;
3) substantiation of the relevance of the topic of research work, disclosure of the content of the topic, bringing up-to-date and analytical information;
4) bringing analytical data in the form of diagrams and graphs;
5) Substantiation of the obtained results;
6) The amount of independent work of the participant;
7) The degree of familiarity of the participant with the results of modern scientific research on the chosen topic;
8) The participant must conduct and present a research paper.
4. The scientific work of 1 (one) author must be submitted to the international competition.
5. Research work must contain a certified Russian or English copy.
REQUIREMENTS
to writing a research paper
Research papers submitted to the international competition must include the following sections:
1) Title page;
2) The content of the research work;
3) Introduction;
4) The main part;
5) Conclusion of the study;
6) List of used sources and literature (bibliography).
The Table of Contents indicates the titles of the main chapters of the work, the introduction, the titles of sections and subsections, the conclusion, the literature used, the titles of the appendices and the corresponding pagination.
The Introduction describes the formulation of the problem, outlines the relevance of the topic, goals and objectives of the work, provides a brief review of the literature sources used, notes the degree of study of the problem, the participant's contribution to solving this problem.
The main part of the study describes the material collected and analyzed by the participant.
The Conclusion describes the participant's findings and conclusions from the study.
In the List of used sources and literature, a list of used literature is given in alphabetical order.
The total volume of the research work is up to 20 pages, format - A4 (font - Times New Roman, size - 14 points, line spacing - 1.5; margins - 20 mm on all sides). Tables, pictures, drawings can be inserted freely. Literature references are numbered.
ORDER
Summing up the results of the international competition of scientific works
1. The results of the final round of the international competition will be summed up in the first decade of December 2023. The composition of the winners is approved by the Order of the Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan based on the decision of the Jury Team.
2. The results of the competition of scientific works are brought to the attention of the public through the media.
3. The winners of the competition of scientific works are awarded with Diplomas and valuable prizes from the accounts of the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Public Association Association “Turkmen Logistika”, “Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan”.
4. Certificates and valuable gifts are awarded to the winners of I (main prize) I, II and III degrees, as well as all participants of the international competition.
