THE LITERARY WORK OF HERO ARKADAG: A SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE OF NATIONAL HERITAGE
On December 23, 2025, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a seminar dedicated to the literary work of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag. The seminar focused on his books about the Ahalteke horses – legendary steeds having been an attribute Turkmen culture and history for century. The seminar was conducted by Hemragylych Nurmammedov, an instructor of the Department of World Languages.
During the seminar, participants presented significant facts from books of Hero Arkadag, including “Ahalteke Horse is Our Pride and Glory”, “Swift Step of a Race Horse” and “A Horse – a Symbol of Faithfulness and Happiness”. They discussed the chronicles of art of Ahalteke horse breeding as an integral part of Turkmen culture, emphasizing the worldwide glory and significance of the horses in our national heritage.
Particular attention was given to the profound bond of people and horses described in the work of National Leader. Such examples of loyalty and devotion incite a sense of pride in the younger generation for the centuries-old legacy of ancestors.
The seminar provided students with deep concept about research – unique studies of Hero Arkadag imbued with a wise and reverent attitude toward the “Heaven horses”. The author’s deep affection is conveyed with expressive language and complemented by magnificent illustrations impressing the extraordinary beauty of the horses.
