EXCURSION DEDICATED TO THE MAIN HOLIDAY
On September 24, 2025, during the days of celebrating the 34th anniversary of our glorious Independence, female students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan participated in an excursion to the National Museum of the Turkmen Carpets, organized by the First Women’s Organization of the Institute.
During the excursion, the students were acquainted with the unique information about the history of the ancient Turkmen carpets, the origin of the national patterns and the distinctive features of the carpet-makers, unique and unparalleled creations woven with the dedication of Turkmen women as well as the origins of national patterns and the distinctive features of carpet designs. There are thousands of exhibits of carpets in this museum distinguished by their elegance, weaving characteristics, history of creation.
Such excursions play a significant role in preserving the national heritage created by Turkmen women over millennia, in nurturing love for our national identity, and in passing these values on to our future generations.
