THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE WEEK OF CULTURE OF THE TURKIC COUNTRIES WAS HELD IN ASHGABAT
June 24, 2023 in Ashgabat at the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly held a solemn opening ceremony of the Week of Culture of the Turkic States. The opening ceremony was attended by leaders and workers of the cultural sector of the country, representatives of national and international media, the Secretary General of TURKSOY, masters of culture and art of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey. The Week of Culture of the Turkic States, held in Ashgabat from June 24 to 29 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the creation of TURKSOY, will make a great contribution to the development and strengthening of international cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The cultural ties of our country are aimed at strengthening world peace and intensifying friendly relations. These days it is planned to hold joint concerts of creative, folklore and dance groups, musicians, opera singers of the participating countries. The Head of State sent a congratulatory Address to the participants of the opening ceremony of the Week of Culture of the Turkic States. In particular, it says that the consistent improvement and development of friendly and fraternal relations with the member countries of TURKSOY is one of the main directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. In this regard, Turkmenistan is increasingly expanding mutual cultural cooperation with member countries of this organization. The opening ceremony of the international event continued with a joint concert of creative teams of the Turkic countries. At the end of the concert the Turkmen dance "Kushtdepdi" was performed by the group "Dehistan" and all participants of the festive action. The concert ended with the song "Turkmenistan - the land of peace and friendship" performed by the participants.
