AN IMPRESSIVE VISIT TO THE MUSEUM OF LOCAL HISTORY IN ARKADAG CITY
On October 28, 2026, a visit to the Museum of local History in Arkadag City was organized by the “Paýhas we Parasat” club of the Department of Social Sciences, the “Young Journalists” scientific and creative club of the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism, and the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace” at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the visit, museum specialists provided interesting information about the museum’s distinctive features, the ancient way of life of our ancestors, and archaeological discoveries connected with their history and culture. They also spoke about the country’s natural environment and the achievements of the Turkmen people during the years of independence.
The students learned more about the glorious history, ancient culture and art, traditions, and distinctive way of life of the Turkmen people. Exhibits featuring Turkmen carpets, jewellery, and traditional clothing illustrated how our people’s everyday life and heritage have been preserved through the generations. Paintings by our artists and works by sculptors portraying contemporary life also attracted the students’ keen interest.
The students then toured the beautiful corners of Arkadag City. Seeing its environmentally friendly surroundings and smart, modern urban spaces made a particularly strong impression on them. The visit offered many inspiring and unforgettable moments.
