Arkadag city - a national model of the world's urban development
On December 29, 2022, a conference was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan called "Arkadag city - a national model of the world's urban development". The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, as well as heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan abroad and international organizations, diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Turkmenistan, representatives of the mass media, teaçhing of the Institute and students. .
At the meeting, speeches were made on the importance of naming the new, modern administrative center of Ahal Velayat as "Arkadag city", as well as the characteristics of the "smart" city, which attracts the world's attention with its uniqueness, beauty, and modernity. As was noted by the experienced diplomats, it is of great historical significance that the name of a great personality who is concerned about ensuring the well-being of people not only of his country, but also of the world, is given to a new, modern city as the new city is the fruit of the great efforts of our highly respected Hero Arkadag. Moreover, the principles of the positive neutrality policy of the country and the importance of the Resolutions adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan at the UN General Assembly were emphasized.
