AKHAL-TEKE HORSES – OUR NATIONAL TREASURE
On May 30, 2025, a training session entitled “Akhal-teke Horses – Our
National Treasure” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The lecture was conducted by private
horse breeder Bashimdurdy Shadurdiyev, who holds the honorary title “Honored
Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan.”
During the lecture, the master horse breeder emphasized that “The Akhal-
teke horse is the great secret of the Turkmen people,” and noted that our Hero
Arkadag is carrying out large-scale efforts to study, promote, and preserve this
magnificent and unique art form on a global scale.
At the end of the lecture, students held a question and answer session about
the special features of the Turkmen horse. The session was very engaging and
provided students with an opportunity to gain additional information.
