The International Conference on International Standards on Human Rights Curriculum was held
On December 3-7, 2021, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Representative Office in Turkmenistan hosted a workshop on "International Standards on Human Rights Curricula".It was attended by professors and staff of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Academy of Public Service under the President, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, relevant higher education institutions, including the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.The meeting was held online and each ministry and agency was contacted by video conferencing from its own building.
The main purpose of the conference was to share international experience in the development of human rights curricula and manuals. During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on human rights, international initiatives related to their protection, and their importance. It was even more impressive that the ideas were expressed through films. During the event, the participants exchanged questions on each issue. They also discussed the introduction of an International Human Rights Course for senior students in online education.
According to the participants of the event, the regular holding of such consultations will be of great importance in improving the legal education in our country, in the development of human rights training programs and manuals.
