World Teachers’ Day
As all we know, teachers play the most important role in bringing up children and the youth after their parents. They dedicate their whole lives to educate young generation so that they will become successful individuals in the future. In this regard, to show appreciation for their highly demanding work, World Teachers’ Day is celebrated on October 5 every year all around the world.
UNESCO proclaimed that the first World Teachers’ Day would be celebrated on October 5, 1994. It underlines that education is a basic human right and every child should have free education. UNESCO hopes to train 69 million new teachers by 2030 so that everyone can go to school, because 264 million children in the world today are not in school because there aren’t enough teachers.
It should not be left without being mentioned that in most cases the impact of their teachers lies behind many famous people’s success. As an example, Bill Gates says that there is now way there would be a Microsoft today without two of his high school teachers. And one interesting fact to be mentioned that Confucius is considered by many to be the first teacher for his works to pave the way in education.
On this occasion, we express our deep gratitude to our highly respected teachers for their relentless care and support for us to achieve great results in our studies and to become successful individuals in life.
