TURKMENISTAN’S ECONOMY IS OPEN TO WORLD
During the years of the Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State from day today under the leadership of our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, implementing a far-sighted policy based on the principles of peace, promotes international initiatives to enhance friendly relations in order to make world more prosperous. The head of state attaches great importance to the implementation of these initiatives, which contribute to the harmonious development of the countries of the world.
As all we know, having become independent in 1991, our country started to conduct policy «Open doors». Even conduction of this kind of foreign policy indicates that the priority directions of the national policy and foreign policy course based on peacefulness and desire for the constructive international cooperation.
The foreign policy of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan is carried out on the basis of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, constitutional laws of Turkmenistan, Foreign Policy Concept of Turkmenistan as a neutral state, as well as international agreements and conventions to which Turkmenistan is involved in. In addition, the Program «Revival of new epoch of the powerful state: National Program of Turkmenistan’s socioeconomic development in the period 2022-2052», which was developed on the initiative of the leader of nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and adopted at the forum, has ushered in the start-up of a new phase of large-scale changes aimed at achieving of grandiose goals. By implementing large-scale international cooperation and following grandiose goals such as the priority of peaceful and humanitarian values, Turkmenistan will ensure peace and security, spread the legal status of permanent neutrality of the country in the international space, actively build the modern state with sustainable upward development economy by diversifying, establish the fair civil society and favorable conditions of the life.
In order to increase considerably the volume of Turkmenistan’s export potential and its role in the global economy and to enhance the country’s economic potential along with rendering all-round support to entrepreneurship, all advantageous conditions are being created for investment-favored climate.
Developing fruitful relations on international level, our country continues partnership with other big international and regional organizations steadily. In this regards, efficient old cooperation of Turkmenistan with the United Nations Organization, which is built on the principles of strategic partnership and which has received new content at modern stage, is worth to be mentioned. In addition, our state pays attention to the cooperation with international financial and economic structures as well as it is important for successful involvement of Turkmenistan in the global world economy. In this respect, our country continues to maintain a fruitful cooperation with the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, and other major financial institutions. In this regard, Turkmenistan has acquired the status of active participator in the World Trade Organization. This will serve as favorable condition for the development of trade and economic relations of the country at the regional and international levels.
As Turkmenistan is known as a «Heart of Great Silk Road» our country consistently continues to open doors to international meetings and forums. Even forums for 2024 like, «OGT-2024», «HI-TECH Turkmenistan 2024», «TESC 2024» indicate that Turkmenistan actively hosts international forums.
It is also important to mention about international investment forum exhibition in the Avaza tourist zone «Turkmenistan is Open» that will be held on June 26-27. The main purpose of this forum and exhibition is to attract foreign investment into national economy. Relevant ministries and industry departments, as well as members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan will attend the exhibition.
A diverse range of food products, including meat, sausages, poultry, fish, milk, confectionery items, various types of dried fruits, and vegetables, will be showcased at the exhibition. The event will also exhibit beverages, light industry products, electronic equipment, textiles, livestock products, trade, education, printing, decorative works, furniture, building materials, advertising, art, jewelry, and textile goods, as well as consumer goods and services.
