“Arkadag city” is the source of inspiration
There are so many nice places on the Earth. Every place has its own distinct features. Some places have a beauty in abundance while many are famous for their architectural wonders. In addition, every person has different tastes, choices and likings.
Today, the people of Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan enthusiastically and solemnly welcome the New 2023 Year. On seeing off 2022, which has remained in the historical events of our sovereign state as the year “The Epoch of the People with Arkadag”, we greatly remember past events, assess their significance and make plans for the future.
On the eve of the New Year all the Turkmen people hear with great joy about the appearance of a new, incredibly, beautifully buit “Arkadag city” of in Ahal velayat on the map. This news about a new and modern center of “Arkadag city” made the under the leadership of the honourable President, the year of the “The people with Arkadag”.
“Development is the main goal of our policy” our honourable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, “in a new historical era, a lot of work is being done to build, create and further improve a better standard of living of the people. According to it, this is evidence that the new, modern administrative center of Ahal velayat is a clear confirmation of this. Words cannot describe all the beauties of this “Arkadag city”. This city “Arkadag” will be famous for its large population, many high-rise buildings to accommodate it and the expansion of transport, communication, and developed infrastructure. As it is known, the city is characterized by containing many profitable commercial opportunities, and provides various job opportunities. The city is also famous for having better education, because it keeps pace with the modern era, and is more used, making it more developed. There is no doubt, that this city is considered to be one of the important and distinctive areas in which life is fast and profitable for many people because “Arkadag city” is characterized by diversity and many differences that make it distinctive and unique.
Let’s have a tour of this unique city: on seing the amazing buildings of “Arkadag city”, once more proves that on the initiative of our Hero Arkadag and his wise idea in the urban planning and architectural art, a new, modern administrative center of the Ahal province, with modern requirements of education, healthcare, institutional culture and other buildings are equipped and put into operation. Consequently, the names of the buildings drew my attention.
On looking at the shape of each building and its name, I remembered the statement of our highly esteemed President about our historical and cultural heritage. As our honourable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasizes: “We will continue to work to improve the sphere of national culture, thoroughly study, protect and popularize the national heritage in the world, and also take measures to carefully preserve and study historical and cultural heritage sites and monuments. In addition, we will carry out work aimed at increasing the number of objects for their inclusion in the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity”. Here it is also important to note that our country has adopted a whole package of legal documents aimed at preserving cultural heritage.
In the current period, it has become a tradition to name the services of the famous people, who made a significant contribution to political, socio-economic and cultural development of our country at different period. That indicates how the Turkmen people appreciate their heritage, culture and tradition and as well the faithful services of our famous personalities, who traced of an excellent example to their Homeland and people, who devoted all their knowledge and experience to the prosperity of our country, is a role model for the present-day youth under the motto of this year “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar”.
Everyone can’t keep admiring the stunning buildings, where you can see veritable picture of each house with unique designers, a square courtyard in front of it where children can play in peace under the clean clouds in our country.
Let’s walk round the city and see some of the buildings. Each building is unique and its names have a deep history. Let’s firstly begin with the art monument built in the central park is to be named after prominent politician of our epoch, great son of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Hero Arkadag, and will be called the “Arkadag Monument”.
And the second one is the international higher educational institution of horse breeding is to be named after a famous trainer and skillful horse breeder Aba Annaev, who created the pedigree line of Akhalteke horses and glorified it with incredible shows all over the world. And the next one is the secondary vocational teachers’ training institution is to be named after industrious and talented teacher and bright patriot, who taught and brought up young generation in the spirit of patriotism , a courageous warrior who defended his country during the war, and as well as a highly respected person, Berdimuhamed Annayev, and is called the “Akhal Velayat Teachers Training Secondary Vocational School named after Berdimuhamed Annayev”. And the next stop is the secondary vocational medical educational institution is to be named after outstanding personality, who went to the World War II and was a military surgeon during the war, Doctor of Medical Sciences Sachly Dursunova.
As it is known, when we hear the name Gorogly, it is out of question different ages of people including everybody from children to elders know the epic “Gorogly”. That indicates the epic “Gorogly” is the national treasure of literature in the countries of the East. The heroic epic has an enduring educational value; it is a creation and an integral part of spirituality, a unique cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, which will live as a connecting thread for centuries. In this regard, it is clearly evidenced by the inclusion in 2015 of the epic "Gorogly" in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
It should noted with pride that the Akhal Equestrian Circus Assign is named after national hero of the Turkmen people Gorogly, who went down in history as an example of courage and bravery, and will be called “Gorogly State Equestrian Circus of the Akhal Velayat”. In fact, the Turkmen people are the people who like to read and keep the literature treasure as apple of their eyes. That proves the velayat library bears the name of the classic poet, thinker of the Turkmen people Dovletmammed Azadi, who glorified the principles of humanism, unity, justice, peace, left a wonderful example for the young generation with his invaluable work and will be called the “Akhal Velayat Library named after Dovletmammed Azadi. The next building is the Drama Theater is to be named after Aman Gulmammedov, who was one of the founders of the Turkmen theatrical art, a well-known artist, director and playwright, laureate of the International Prize of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly Aman Gulmammedov, as well as a person who contributed to the life of the theater, and will be called the “Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theater of the Akhal Velayat”.
