OSCE LECTURE COURSE IN JOURNALISM
On May 1, 2024, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat organized lecture course on the topic “Modern Journalism and Communications Instruments” from May 1 to 3, 2024. The first day of the course was attended by students of the Faculty of Journalism and teachers from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University for Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan, and Turkmen State Institute of Culture. The online seminar was opened with a welcoming speech by Ambassador John MacGregor, Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat. Then the floor was given to the expert of the organization, Professor Mr. Sean Crowley, who delivered lectures on the topic "Introduction to Journalism and Contemporary Media Globally" and "How the Media Works in Europe and Elsewhere". At the end of the lecture, students asked questions to experts, to which they received detailed answers.
