ADVOCACY MEETING
On September 8, 2025, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, an advocacy meeting entitled ”Road Safety – Peace of Our Life” was held with the participation of representatives of Turkmenistan’s law enforcement bodies, the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, as well as teachers and students of the Institute.
Speakers at the event emphasized that, thanks to the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, the campaign ”Road Safety – Peace of Our Life”, launched in 2013, has been consistently accompanied each year by large-scale activities and educational meetings. They highlighted that during these high-level activities, extensive explanatory work is carried out to ensure the safety of every citizen and to promote compliance with traffic rules.
It was especially noted that the measures conducted annually from September 1 to September 30 are aimed at reducing road traffic accidents and ensuring a peaceful and prosperous life for our citizens.
The participants also stressed that, taking into account the increasing traffic involving schoolchildren, university students, employees of institutions, enterprises, and public organizations in our country, these activities play an important role in teaching everyone—especially schoolchildren and young students—to be cautious in public places and on the roads, and to learn the rules of ensuring personal safety. They underlined the great significance of such measures in educating the younger generation.
