Academic Staff of the Higher Education Institutions took part in a Training on Water Diplomacy
On June 7, 2024, a training session on water diplomacy, international water rights and efficient use of water resources, organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), was held in Ashgabat, at the Archabil Hotel. Along with academic staff from Higher Educational Institutions of our country, representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in it.
During the training, representatives and experts from the State Committee for Water Management of Turkmenistan delivered speeches on national and regional tasks of water management, international agreements on the joint use and protection of common waters, as well as international experience in the efficient use of water resources.
In addition, speakers emphasized the importance of the developed training course on the efficient use of water resources, the safety of hydraulic structures and transboundary water cooperation, intended for inclusion in the curricula of Higher Educational Institutions of Turkmenistan.
