Scientific-Educational Conference on Seasonal Diseases Held Online
On April 30, 2025, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted an online scientific-educational conference
titled “Seasonal Diseases and Methods of Prevention”. The main purpose of the
conference was to facilitate the timely identification of risk factors contributing to the
emergence and spread of infectious diseases, and to ensure their active treatment, as
well as to establish continuous monitoring throughout the treatment process.
The event brought together a wide audience, including students of the Institute,
as well as faculty members and students of higher and secondary vocational
educational institutions throughout Turkmenistan, who participated in through digital
platforms.
Distinguished medical professionals from the Myrat Garryyev State Medical
University of Turkmenistan contributed to the conference with insightful presentations.
Assistant Keyik Owezdurdyyeva of the Department of Infectious Diseases delivered a
lecture on “Clinical Characteristics of Acute Respiratory Infections in Seasonal
Diseases”. Assistant Zohre Charyyeva presented on “Specifics of Seasonal Diseases in
Children”, while lecturer Guncha Akyyeva discussed “Epidemiological Prevention
Measures in Seasonal Diseases”.
The conference emphasized Turkmenistan’s ongoing commitment to aligning
scientific research in accordance with international standards. The implementation of
new diagnostic and treatment methods into practical medicine continues to support
national efforts aimed at reducing and eventually eradicating the prevalence of
seasonal diseases in the country.
